This is one of the biggest question or rather, this is the biggest mistake which people made. There was once I attended a friends meet up and they was all curious with all my facebook post about making money online. So one of them stood up to me and said, "Eh Nicholas how you make money online de?". Just for your information, "eh" and "de" is singlish which is commonly used in Singapore. "Eh" is commonly used to call a person and "de" is commonly used after a sentence.

I told him several ways and methods that was working for me, including my website. His reply was "Can meh?" which means "Are you sure this can work?". I do actually expect this expression as this really differentiate the people who are successful and those who aren't. This is one of a case study of neuro-linguistic programming or NLP which it study the difference between someone who is successful and someone who is not.


If you are confused what is NLP, I have a blog for it called NicholasNLP. You can get more detailed information about it. Just to do a summary of neuro-linguistic programming, neuro is the study of how the brain works, linguistic is the study of how humans communicate and programming is how we are actually coded in the sense.

In this case study of NLP, the founders, Richard Bandler and John Grinder found out that there are four types of people in the world. The first one is someone who is successful and will always be no matter how the environment is changed. This also means that if the person is broke, he will be successful again. The second person would be someone successful but they will fail once the environment is changed. The third person would be someone who is not successful but eventually turn successful. Lastly, someone who is not successful and will not be successful not matter how the environment is changed.

With that being said, the purpose of this post is "How To Make Money" so I will skip NLP for the moment. Maybe you are wondering why I am introducing you to NLP or what does NLP is going to effect the way we earn money from the internet. Before that, you must have three things to start to earn money. The first would be a computer, a WIFI and the ability to use a mouse.

Allow me explain the different between a successful person and a non-successful person. It really boils down to one single factor. One word. One question. That is "how". If you really want to make money online ask yourself this question, "how?". How could you make money online? How could other people make money online? How does facebook, a free social media yet make billions of dollars?

By asking yourself these question, you may start to understand and realize the different between them. A successful person ask themselves questions consistently.

Let me just tell you a story on how I was started online. Back then, my uncle was into online store for phone accessories. When he started his online business, I was really interested why these phone covers could actually sell up to hundreds of dollars. I was curious so I picked up the skills from him and I started venturing into online marketing. I went all out to learn all I could about making money online, spending over thousand dollars online on countless ebooks, dvd guides, seminars and other internet marketing related products. I probably still had them to max out my hard drive. I will never forget the day I develop my own online store which generated over a thousand. I realized that it doesn't take fancy software, one click button, elaborate programming scripts or even a retail store to make money online.

In fact, could make money just in 30 days without spending tens and thousands of dollars. One of the biggest reward is having freedom since you could work anywhere with no specific timing. You could be just working from home or working anywhere.
